Los Angeles (4/15/2002-5/19/2002)

I've never been to my company's lovely office in Santa Monica before, but looks like I'll be heading there for six weeks. This should be a decent bit of fun. If you're going to travel, stay close to home!

This office looks just like our now vacant office in the south of market area of San Francisco. Well, this one has people in it. I walk past Playboy's Santa Monica studio on the way to work.

My stay was cut short when realized that I could do the work remotely without an issue. So, while I'm still on the project for another month, I'll be working from the San Francisco office. It's nice to be back home again. Perhaps I can stay here for a while.

Plants (4/27/2002)

My redwood has been growing up well for the past two years. I clearly remember when I got him the ranger told me to take him out of the pot and plant him after a year. Well, I've been lazy about it. I like to picture the full size redwood shooting out of the little pot on my balcony.

Tim, my plant from college, died during my first year out of school. I theorize it was because he went onto my balcony. He had only known dorm air and florescent lights for the first couple years of his life. As soon as he encountered fresh air and sunlight, he couldn't take it. But, amazingly, in his pot a new plant has sprung forth! I have named this new plant Timlet!

Colorado's Flag

Three days?!? Yes, that's right I'm out to Denver for three days. You may ask yourself if this makes any sense at all. The answer is clearly that it doesn't. But still, if I can do nothing except get people water and coffee for the next three days, I'd consider that a success.

Wow, Colorado's flag is pretty ugly, isn't it?
